Amalgamated Transport and General Workers Union (ATGWU), Katwe, Kampala, Uganda.
Established in Kampala, Uganda since 1938, Amalgamated Transport and General Workers’ Union (ATGWU – Uganda) is responsible for organising and representing its members in the Transport, Oils, Chemical and Private Security Industries. It is a trade union with a proven track record in handling labour related issues for its members. ATGWU was later re-rigesterd in 1974 after merging with other unions. It is affiliated to many international unions like International Transport Workers Federation (ITF), Union Network International (UNI) and also affiliated to our National Organisation of Trade union Uganda (NOTU) Members of the public out there this is your chance therefore join the union.
